We all gathered in the late afternoon at the Tired Creek Golf Course. Folks had spent a long, hot day outside at the various test sites. The temperature had risen to 88 degrees, but it was very humid – 89%. Despite the adverse conditions, the dog work excelled today and the three flights dropped very few dogs. Bob Swift, President of the Master Amateur Retriever Club made a speech to the folks in the room about the past week's event. He was impressed with the sense of community during the event and how all the attendees pitched in to make it work. With no paid help, it was important that we had the volunteers at every Flight that we did. All the folks that helped in every capacity during the week made the event the success that it was – Congratulations to one and all!
Macy Swift, Hunt Test Secretary, read the names of the qualifiers – 69 in all! |
